Scraping, also called Data Scraping is the practice of various unethical marketing firms and data aggregators and spammers, whereby their scraper bots crawl through websites and "scrape" various information about the website from the web pages, such as any contact emails, names of individuals, phone numbers, physical addresses and so on. This information is then combined with information from other websites and sold to marketers.
