Key Performance Indicator [KPI] is a statistic you monitor showing your "performance" in an area. Those familiar with Hubbard Management Technology will recognize KPI as another name for management statistics. These are actual, measured statistics that indicate how something is performing. In sales jobs, the KPI is usually the income generated by that person or group in one week or one month. Or it could be the number of cars sold by one salesman or one dealership in one month. You would compare one period against another. If you are the person responsible for a Google Ads campaign, you need to monitor your ad spend on that campaign often, comparing it to the sales generated from that campaign, called the Return on Ad Spend, or ROAS.
