Ghosting:: Ghosting is a term that describes someone actively avoiding contact. For example, setting an appointment with someone and not showing up for it, and subsequently not answering texts or emails or phone calls from the person with whom one had an appointment is ghosting them. It is disrespectful and inconsiderate in the extreme; very bad manners. Essentially, it is not showing up for a scheduled interview or to start a job or meetup for a date, or to complete an agreed-upon transaction of some kind, and not explaining or communicating further about it. Disappearing with no warning or justification; failing to respond as a normal human person would respond.
