What does "Dwell Time" mean?

Dwell Time:

Dwell Time is the time someone spends on a web page after getting there by clicking a link on a search engine result page. The dwell time can be very short (see pogo-sticking) or last for hours. The start of the dwell time is when they arrive at the website; the end of the dwell time is when they go back to that search results page on the search engine. Compare with "bounce rate."
