A Content Management System [CMS] is an online interface for managing the content of a website. WordPress is one example of a CMS. There are many other CMS's including Joomla, Drupal, Magento, SquareSpace and WIX. In theory, a CMS will help one create and publish content on a website, without having to know how to write any HTML code. In practice, there are considerable learning curves to master the different CMS's; none of them are compatible with intentional technophobes.
