Accellerated Mobile Pages [AMP] is a Google project (an open source HTML framework) that was never widely adopted by the general webmaster public. Google's promotional premise for it was that by using their AMP format for making mobile web pages (instead of using regularHTML, JavaScript and CSS), those mobile pages would load almost instantly. As of 2022, it is still in use but not being supported on several big platforms.
